Timely Schools, LLC (“Timely”) takes your privacy seriously. We believe in protecting your information and the information of the staff and students you work with. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to describe how Timely collects, uses, and shares data from both our website and Timely software users. Timely Student Data Privacy Statement 

Timely may have access to Student Data during the course of offering its services. “Student Data” is information that is directly related to an identifiable current or former student, including “educational records” as defined in the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”) that is held by any school, related entity, or Timely.

Timely will use Student Data as described in this Privacy Policy, our agreements with clients, and any applicable state & federal laws. Timely does not use Student Data to conduct targeted advertisements. 

Timely operates in compliance with the Child Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and FERPA. Student data for students under 13 is only collected through Timely’s services when parental consent has been provided by the school, related entity, or parent / guardian for the purposes of delivering Timely services. Timely will only disclose Student Data to third parties in accordance with this policy and applicable law. If personal information on a child under 13 has been collected by Timely without consent of the school, related entity, or parent / guardian, upon learning of this collection, Timely will delete that information quickly. If you believe a child under 13 may have provided us personal information in violation of this paragraph, please contact us at privacy@timelyschools.com. 

Information Timely collects and why 

Timely collects two types of data for two different purposes. Timely collects "User Data” – data on the user that is provided by users and collected about visitors to our website – to improve and market the tool. Timely also collects “User-Provided Data” – data that is uploaded into the tool by users, to deliver services to the users and, when de-identified, used to optimize the tool. User-Provided Data includes Student Data.

Information about individuals that visit our website

As part of User Data, Timely may collect the following categories of personal information about its website visitors to help Timely market its products. You can choose to not provide certain information, but this may impair usage of Timely’s website. In no way does the below include student data that is provided by users. 

  • Identifiers (such as your name, email address, unique device identifiers for mobile devices or tablets, and IP address)

  • Internet or other electronic network activity (such as information about your interaction with our site, your browser type, computer or device type, the website you navigated from to reach out site, timestamp information about your visit to our site, and the pages on our site that you view, including pages visited)

  • Inferences (such as creating a profile about your preferences based on your interaction with us and our website)

Information about our users

In addition to the above, and as part of User Data, Timely collects the following information about its users: 

  • Information users provide us (for example, during sign up): First and last name, email address, employer, role, password, etc. 

  • Information we collect: Timely collects personally identifiable and product usage data regarding users.

Users may opt out of their data collection by contacting the school or related entity that had directly contracted with Timely.

Security of your information 

Timely uses commercially appropriate measures to protect user, staff, and student data in its possession from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. This includes passwords, encryption, and access control. 

Timely will make reasonable efforts to destroy or otherwise render unusable User-Provided Data within sixty (60) days of receiving written request from appropriate users to do so. 

Third parties 

Timely may contract with third parties to process and analyze data for specific purposes as described in this Policy. The below notwithstanding, Timely will not share User-Provided Data pertaining to students that has not been de-identified to third parties for any purpose other than providing contracted services to the client.

Timely may share website visitor information with third parties to help us market our products, including Google Analytics. To ‘opt out’ of data collection, visit the Google Analytics opt-out page email privacy@timelyschools.com.

Timely may share User Data with third parties to support the improvement and marketing of its products and services. These third parties include, but are not limited to, Amazon Web Services and Google Analytics. 

Timely may disclose User Data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, as required to meet law enforcement or national security needs. 

Timely may transfer User Data due to corporate transactions such as merger, acquisition, reorganization, dissolution, liquidations, bankruptcies, or other similar transactions involving our business, in entirety or a portion of our business.

Changes to our Privacy Policy 

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice as we deem appropriate. You should revisit this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed of changes.
